Transportation Issues and Global Warming

The transportation industry has become a major issue that needs to be addressed with regards to the abundant of vehicles that we have on our roads all contributing greenhouse gas emissions. Gasoline based automobiles are a major contributor to global warming, actually the second largest contribute. As society becomes more aware and more willing to change and adapt we begin to see new types of vehicles that are more efficient, run on new types of different cleaner fuels. And .. Related posts:

A Hybrid car is an automobile that uses a combination of at least two unlike fuel sources for its impulsion. Even though many combinations can be possible, normally when people are discussing about hybrid cars, they are referring to cars with the combination of either an electric motor, or a gasoline engine, or a battery that influences the electric motor and stores energy for future use. In a recent study done by the Goddard Institute for Space Studies, they identified one of the largest overall contributing sources to global warming was road transportation. Cars, trucks and buses are all major contributors as they release greenhouse gases and various other pollutants that promote warming while also not emitting enough aerosols to counteract it. So in other words, the more vehicles on the roadways, then the worse the problem of global warming is going to be.

I would hope that by now, people would realize that driving cars is one of the most leading causes of greenhouse gases because of all the toxic emissions they produce, but most people still don’t seem to understand. Regular automobiles burn fossil fuels in order to keep the engine running and produce energy to get you from one place to another, but there are alternative ways to reduce the toxic emissions that cars produce, one example is “The Electric Car”.
