We are pleased to announce that we have recently been invited to join Shamaya Otep’s Green Team on CarbonRally.com (our User ID is EnvironmentGreen.com). The Carbonrally web site offers individuals and groups a fun, simple and social way for them to get more involved and to have an impact on energy consumption and climate change.

Carbonrally was inspired by Dr. Jonathan Karas (1922-1999) whom rallied many around the wonder of science, the planet, and the importance of fun in every pursuit. Otep Shamaya is an American singer/songwriter who made her debut in 2000 with the band Otep. She has also published 2 books of poetry, spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, is an accomplished painter, and she supports many other activists groups such as RAINN, PETA, & WSPA.

She has long been a public figure in CarbonRally’s efforts to reduce carbon footprints and her group, “Otep’s Green Team”, has 1127 followers and tops the leadership board with 10.48 tons of CO2 reduced.
